Built in Germany, tested in the Baltic 🌊

Company

Today we measure
your water.
Next we predict it.

HYDRA, our compact measuring buoy, shows how your water is doing right now. We develop and test it with our own team in Kiel. Our goal: to tell you what will happen next, how fast things grow in your water and when it is worth going out on the boat.

Our path

  1. We build first prototypes and test materials and algae cultivation, in open water and in the lab.

  2. In March 2024 the first HYDRA is moored in Kiel.

  3. A round frame with a buoy at its centre, held at the water from a jetty: our rig for algae cultivation at sea.

  4. Ulva grows on our modular construction and is harvested.

  5. Readings from our sensor buoys flow continuously into one data pipeline.

  6. Prediction models for biomass, built on the data of our buoys.
